The Night

September 30, 2007

The night is cold
The sky is dark and starless
Here I am, staring at the abyss, feeling empty.

I can feel the wind touching my face
And it reminds me of the little girl who dreams big
The child who always finds hope when gazing at the stars above
She thought that one day those stars will fall.
She will pick them up and treasure them like precious jewels.
Yes, she knows nothing about reality-blinded by her childish imaginations
Duped by the fairy-tale-stories that were told

Amazing, she grows up intelligent and full of wisdom
But she remains to be hopeful despite of being unrealistic
She keeps on failing but then she keeps on standing up.
Now, she has grown weak.
Lost and miserable.
And when she looks up at stars above these days,
there's nothing left but a picture of a dark sky.
No more hope. The stars didn't fall.
She has to get them up above there
Will she?
Will I?
I am no longer that wishful child
But rather, a bitter and lost wanderer!

THERE IS NOTHING

February 27, 2007

There is nothing I can see but the blur picture of my sad life
There is nothing I can hear but the loud beat of my broken heart
There is nothing I can taste but the bitterness of my unwanted experiences
There is nothing I can smell but the foul odor of my withering spirit
There is nothing I can feel but the paroxysm of my anger

HONESTY

February 2, 2007

Man lives with uncertainty
And so he resorts in finding the truths of his existence.
However, along his search for these truths he stumbles upon the big rocks of dishonesty.
He begins to feel sad and hopeless
And later becomes anxious of the truth.
For him to survive in this world full of liars,
He then finds himself lying too
Yet, in his heart he knows,
Honesty is still the best POLICY
For he can't live in happiness without it
And he cannot fully enjoy his life
For the lies that he told were forever be a burden
And only the truth will set him FREE
